My husband has always loved cooking. He's run food businesses before, learned the hard way what works and what doesn't, and in 2024 launched The Burger Society — armed with real experience and a genuine passion for the craft.
I came along for the whole ride. I learned the POS systems, the bookings, the stock management, the staffing. I understood the business from the inside. And I could see that even with all that experience, the admin was still winning. The more the business grew — awards, two locations, a food truck and a permanent site — the more the thing he actually started it for got squeezed out. The menus. The specials. The cooking.
FoodHaatch started as a simple tool to help him find events for his new food truck, Jim Burgerac. Then I kept thinking: what else could we take off his plate? It grew into the complete operating system I wish had existed from his very first day trading — and every day since. Because whether you're just starting out or running multiple sites, the admin shouldn't be what stops you from doing what you love.
